Cross-file patterns 101: how to find themes across 40 docs

Reading 40 documents is impossible. Finding patterns across them is easy with the right two-step drill.
Most knowledge work involves reading many documents to find one insight. This is exactly where AI is strongest and least used. Here's the two-step drill:
Step 1 — Extract. Ask the model to pull five to seven structured fields from every file: date, author, topic, sentiment, key claim. Do this in parallel, one file per request.
Step 2 — Cluster. Feed the extracted grid back with the question: "What themes repeat? What contradicts?"
